i am having some trouble getting the fc edit software to connect to the datalogit. this is the first time it has happened. everything was working fine until my laptop crashed. is anybody having the same trouble i am having? if so, what did you do? i need to figure this out so i can load in a base map for my fb. thanks

 

if possible (laptop isn't completely messed up with hardware failure), go into Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore and restore it to save point right before it crashed. Don't go back too far or your computer will run horribly.

It was a joke for "Krazy 1st Gen" as he did not say if the crash problem was fixed or not. All he had to do is reload the DL software if a RESTORE did not work.
Both are common PC remedies.

 

my bro fixd the laptop and it is fine. i downloaded the datalogit software onto the laptop. the program works but it won't connect to the power fc anymore. before the crash i think i was using version 2.116 or sumthing. when i try and use the latest version of datalogit it would not connect. a lil box would pop up and say com port not found. what does that mean?

 

Go in and select comm 1 or autodetect and try again.

 

i got the auto detect to pop up but now a new window pops up when i open fc edit. it says "error in frmMain_load". i don't remember having that last time. whats the deal with that?
