Power FC extend port tune
extend port tune
Gents,
i have a power fc in my fd, i have recently had my motor rebuilt with a large extend port and to4r turbo. the car starts fine and wants to rev but when i rev the car on the old tune "stock twins, stock ports" the knock goes through the roof and the light comes on. thats with no load just reving to about 3000-3500 rpm.
any thing i can change quickly so i can atleast get the car onto a trailer safely?
i have an fc-datalogit, and have included a print screen showing the knock... stock injectors, magnafuel reg and filter, bosch 023.
the ignition timing seems a bit high? i have tried to bump it all back to 15deg with my limited knowledge of the fc datalogit but that had no effect.
one last thing, i have not got the o2 sensor hooked up yet. is that a problem?
Regards,

your knock sensor is noisy. Check your engine mounts and other sources of vibration. A lot of times the knock sensor is just useless. One time I drove about 7 or 8 miles in my car around town, completely out of boost, and it read 80 counts of knock. And I wouldn't worry about the ignition timing in vacuum right now.
Are you planning to get this professionally tuned? If so, just start it and put it on the trailer. Unless you pull the plugs out and they have obvious signs of detonation (cracked porcelein insulator, white spots) I don't think you're doing any damage to the car.
