Looks like the only difference is that now APEXi is making the Powerexcel software available to everyone now and they're selling it as a package with the commander with an input for the laptop somehow.

Did some Googling - copy/paste from a UK Skyline forum -

"Apexi also launched the FC Commander Pro which is a PC interface and the mapping software for the Power FC - looks interesting for about 500 quid."

Hard to say what the price would be - who knows how he arrived at that price from the price in yen. This was from a few things the guy saw new-product-wise from the Tokyo Auto Salon 2005, so it must have been debuted there.

I'm gonna look for TAS 2005 reports to see if I can find a mention of it.

Yeah, but you're taking someone's unknown conversion from yen to pounds, then to US dollars. You'd have to go straight from yen to dollars for a real price.

The big "98,000 yen" price at the top of the ad is the new price for the PowerFC and commander, not the new FC Pro. I think they'd be on crack to sell a cable and CD-ROM for that much .

That's just talking about the old PowerFC software that only Apexi shops in Japan had - that statement has been there FOREVER. Trust me, I reguarly hit the Japanese web sites looking for new products .

Whenever they get it on their page, it will likely be mentioned in the News section.

List price is 48000 Yen....about $450. It's in the ad....just too small to read.

Ah! I thought that was the price at the bottom, but it is hard to make out. Street price will likely be mid-upper $300's. It's a little more than the FC-Datalogit, so it would have to be quite good to justify the higher price .
