exh temp light on

I am installing my pfc for first time. So far I cut the 4 wires on my harness, installed pfc, reconect ground, turn ign on and reset pfc to base map, turn off ign, turn ign back on and my egt light is on (car not running) check the sensors for malfunction and there is no highlighted sensor shown as malfunctioning. Am I missing something here or misreading?

Yep, you are the second newb lately to not understand that the cat overheat light is used by the PFC as a warning light.

I undersand its a warning light or I would not have posted this. The manual tells me to check the sensors before starting car if the light comes on, I did and the pfc checked them as good, thus the confusion. The manual did not go on to explain that if everything checks good start the ******* thing and the light will go out.

It acts like any warning light with the same logic.
