Power FC Engine management Questions
Engine management Questions
I have a streetported motor and was looking into a management system for the car. I have a SS downpipe a CB and a cold air intake with the street port and wanted to know if I really needed a power fc. I've looked at the Greddy Emanage and I think it would do all that i need it to do and it's cheaper but I've also seen the HKS F-Con which I've read that is good for a few mods but I wasnt sure if my mods met the criteria. Thanks for the input.
Do not just think of your current level of mods, but your long range plans.
Better to spend a little more for exspansion instead of a lot more for replacement upgrades.
We original owners went through 2 to 3 levels of upgrades because the earlier equipment was not fully developed or as good as what has been available for the last few years.
(1) Stock ecu --> reprogramed stock ecu or piggy backs --> stand alones
(2) Stock IC --> small SMIC --> large SMIC --> large front mounts or "V" mounts
(3) Stock springs --> after market springs --> simple coil over sets like Ground Control --> complete engineered Tien style sets
