emissions, PFC and Datalogit

comments please.
While looking at all the settings pages in the datalogit box, it got me thinking of a way to pass IL emissions.
There is a setting that changes the point at which the secondary injectors begin adding fuel, so if i raise that setting from what is i think 40% to a higher value like 60 to 70 would that keep the secondaries from firing?
Emissions testing here is the dyno type which an "attendant" drives your car. All you can do is ride along and "coach "them as to keep the boost below 0 psi. I failed the first test last year with reprogrammmed ECU and because the attendant lugged it in 4th gear and got well into boost.
Once you fail here in IL you then need to have the car tested every year instead of the normal every 2 years. I am growing tired of putting the airpump and cat on every spring and trying to pass this silly *** waste of taxdollars.
Looking for ideas people.
Thanks

I don't think that will do it - but am not sure.
I don't think that setting will change the amount of fuel delivered, just the way it is delivered. I suppose it might be possible to set it so that the secondaries don't come on until the primaries are well past 100% - but that is pretty dangerous.

The base maps speficy the total amount of fuel delivered and the correction maps further tweak the amount. Then the ecu determines how to deliver that amount.

So if you want to put in less fuel - you could either enter in different correction maps, or reduce the overal fuel.

BUT - Unless you know exactly what you are doing you risk the chance of running the car lean and causing severe knock, which can kill your engine.

I have a question along these same lines. I just passed emissions a couple weeks ago in AZ. I then put in a PFC and I am wondering if all else being equal, I would pass again. I have very little done for mods so I am running the base map. The wires that are clipped when installing the pfc are what, EGR? Will the lack of EGR make much of a difference assuming the visual inspection is pretty crappily done?

I've heard of inspectors wanting to see the CHECK ENGINE light come on when you turn the key in, along with all the other diagnostic lights - and someone makes a module to simulate this. The PFC will not light the check engine light - mostly because that light doesn't exist in JA cars (so I hear). Other than that, there shouldn't be a reason why a car will not pass with the PFC. Mine did :-) Visual + Dyno.
