Trying to track down an AC problem. Found the ELD switch is always on, even when when all accessories are off (engine running and off). Disconnected the ELD switch under the dash and the switch is still highlighted. Shouldn't disconnecting it turn the box off in the sensor check, like other switches (AP, PWS, etc)?

The ELD indicator comes on when the fans come on, even with the ELD computer disconnected. At this point the engine will enter into E/L idle mode. I have personally observed this behavior.

 

Does it even with the fans off. I have manual idle so don't know how long this has been going on.
