EGR removal and PFC

Any thing extra needs to be done? Any drawbacks, anyone done it? I have a UIM and LIM I am going to have extrude honed for the hell of it and thought about leaving it off when I install it.

Doesn't matter, the PFC runs fine without it. My car is a 94 so it has the electrical connector to monitor EGR position. Haven't had the EGR on the car in years and my PFC works ok.

On a side note, my factory gasket for the EGR had one of the ports blocked off!!! Mazda could not convince the EPA that the rotary has inherent EGR and easily passes NOx emmisions. It wasn't until the 95 iteration that they were able to omit the EGR valve.
