PFC & Datalogit tuning
Hi !
I will be getting the above combination when I do my performance upgrades on my 7. Thing is that there is no tuner around here with wideband O2. Now I'd need to know if taking the car to the tuner that only had dyno is even making any sense ? Can the tuner tune the car better then me with the PFC & datalogit ? Is WB O2 esential for tuning the 7 ? How hard is it to do it yourself ? (I think that getting J&S knock sensor would keep me on the safe side, but then again it's quite expensive).
Thanks,
Tadej

Where in Europe are you? My cousin has a TE WB O2 for his collection of Porsches that he plays with.
Even if you had the equipment, parts, pieces, you still won't have the knowledge of what to change, how much to change, potential improvements, etc. Basically the benefit of first hand experience. So, you could learn that, but it will take time, effort, and some risk. To me, that sounded appealing. But then again I've been taking things apart and (trying to) put them back together again since I could crawl.
What you COULD do is get the Datalogit and wideband, and enlist someone to mentor or guide you remotely. Thereby giving you a jump start, getting a tuned map for your car, albeit remote tuned. But still better than an "off the shelf" map. And it would allow you to tinker, or at least watch and learn.
