Call me stupid but i dont know exacly what for example a Power Fc will do to improve my Rex?

is it just to plug in and the car will work fine? (Highly unbeliavable though)

How will the Power fc know what kind of mods i have?

or will i have to take my car to a workshop and get a mapping done?

The PFC won't "know" what mods you have...it has maps loaded onto it from the factory (and if yours is used, they might be modified). You need to tune the PFC according to your mods in order to eek out the most power from your car.

You can pretty much just unplug the old ecu and plug in the PFC (it's a little more complicated than that, check the sticky at the top of this forum), and after about 20-30 minutes of idling under various loads, the PFC will have learned a little about your setup and will settle down (note that it's not *tuning* itself...it just seems to be learning the baseline values for things so that you can idle properly, etc.).

As far as what the PFC will do to improve your rx7...nothing unless you tune it properly. By itself the PFC is just a glorified ECU...chances are if you're not heavily modded you'll be running rich, which means you're not getting all that you could out of the car. If you're truly interested in getting the most out of the ECU and your car, you need to dyno tune it with a wideband O2 sensor. This will allow you to tune the a/f ratio to optimal levels and will allow you to get the most power out of the car safely.
