Angry New motor, FD slow???

I just got a new motor street ported. new 550 primary injectors and 1300 secondaries ,High flow fuel pump.Down pipe, High flow cat, Apexi Gt exhaust, new 99 spec turbos, Act clutch, and the Apexi power FC. Now I can't figure out for the life of me why the car is slow. over 2,000 on the new mootr now so it's broken in. I thought it might be a issue withthe boost. The power FC reads 0.30 in the monitor mode. and that's getting on the it all the way to the floor. in the seetings it looks something like this

pr. 80 80%
sc. 90 84%

on the second setting which is what I'm running now. Why is the car slower now witha new motor and mods than when it was stock? any insight would help thanks!!

A 0.30 boost reading on the PFC commander is about 4.3psi. You should be making a minimum of 7psi (0.49 on commander) regardless of the PFC settings (assuming the motor and turbos are good). Sounds like you may have a big leak somewhere that's venting your boost.

What kind of intercooler and pipes do you have? Have you checked the y-pipe coupler and other intercooler hoses for cracks/splits? Disconnected or split vacuum lines?

Still running the stock intercooler. All the vacum lines and hoses are new. I want to get a greddy intercooler for Christmas. ( a little gift to myself, ha ha ha) I haven't checked the Y pipe or the intercooler hoses.

Check the accordion-looking hose going from the cross-over pipe to the stock intercooler. It's known for splitting lengthwise.

Thanks for the Help patriick i really appreciate it. Hey your in SoCal. What kind of set up are you running if you don't mind me asking. I heard that there isn't much we could do because of the smog laws. I wanted to go single t88 but the guy told me I would never pass smog.

All of my mods are CARB-legal, so I don't have to worry about failing the visual check (well, except for the downpipe). The downside is that my stock twins are just about maxed-out at 350RWHP.

There aren't any smog-legal single turbo setups available. You either have to have 'connections' or go through the trouble of swapping the stock stuff back in to get tested (so I've heard).

But that sounds cool. 350 on the Rx7 should be awsome. I'm trying to squeeze out as much as I can out of these 99 spec. I guess after I do a bit more I should expect about 350hp. I could live with that.

Do a search though, many say that the 99's can't hold raised boost above what is reccomended.

This is only true if you have to pass stock visual tests!

The new A-SPEC GT35R kit allows the air pump to remain on the car with some modification. HKS also has such kits that fit without modifaction but they cost more.

My response was in context to his question: CA smog laws.

How's the spool-up on the GT35R vs. the stockers?

Have not received my kit yet but I have already removed all the old parts and have sold them. The GT35R is suppose to reach 15PSI boost by 3500 which is 1000rpm sooner than my old non-seq.
