Does the PowerFC need to relearn my idle every time battery is disconnected?

As title asks, does the PowerFC need to relearn my idle every time battery is disconnected?

DO I need to go through the whole process every time I have a dead battery or work on the car and disconnect the battery?

No it should remember your setup. If it doesnt then there's something wrong with it.
