Well, the way I understand it.... It SHOULD light while driving when it detects knock or a sensor error, but none of them that I have seen work that way. If you look on the commander on the sensor check screen, you will see it flashing if something is wrong. My actual light does not flash when the knock level goes over the preset level that triggers a warning. But, if you look at the sensor check screen, you can see the exhaust warning light sensor flash about every second. This only happens when the knock reading is about 50 or whatever the setting. I can make it happen by revving it up in the parking lot.

So, now that I'm done rambling.... No, I doubt the actual light will flash when it detects an error. The temp warning should flash on the commander though.

no, the check engine light turns on if it detect knock. The exhaust light now comes on if there is a problem with a sensor or the PFC.

Not true.... No light comes on when the knock reading is high. My knock sensor was loose and I had readings of over 120. I didn't get a light, but I could watch the light sensor flash on the commander. So, it SHOULD trigger a light, but it doesn't.
