Displayed Timing Readings vs The Map Values
Today; armed with my Sony videocam and Kyle Krutilek as my monitor and camera operator, we set out to compare the monitor displayed timing. After numerous vacuum and high boost tests, we declare that they are the same except when idling.
Once pass idle, the displayed timing is the same as what is in the cell for that same rpm and boost level. This goes for both IGT and IGL.

It depends too on whether you are inbetween pressure cell values. I did the same thing and at some rpm/bost levels, I would obviously be inbetween since the value was inbetween the timing values listed, ie, leading cell value was 14, next cell was 18, displayed value was 16.

This would make sense. I can understand fuel correction maps being compensations for the base map but the timing would not make any sense. Unfotunately we can not always rely on common sense...
On a side note, I think its a shame that we have to do our own testing to find these things out. What is wrong with Apexi? Do they have anything to gain by not releasing this information? Especially with a new competitor coming to market...
I seem to be the only one that finds it offensive that the Power XL software has still not been released in the US, but to me, making a great product like the PFC and then not releasing the software is like going 99 yards but not scoring a touchdown. It just plain stupid, and not the way to win a football game.
