Datalogit software FC_Edit v 1.081 released
In an effort to kill the virulent "Interface Not Responding" (INR) bug (nuisance), Steve just released a second 1.08 update (1.081). This allows for three retries at 500 microsecond intervals. Steve also set up a regedit backdoor that allows changing the number of retries and intervals. Check it out in the file section of the Datalogit group.

A third 1.08 update (1.082) has been released. Cures more problems and fixes problem when changing the polynomial setup. New default map from PFC 6.07 has been incorporated.

where are the downloads located? I'm a member of the datalogit yahoo group and just bought the datalogit (and damn laptop for the sole purpose of tuning, damn car is going to make me work 2 jobs to keep it up... its upkeep is worse than having 3 kids in diapers).
So is the downloads found? I've e-mailed Glen with the serial number info, just wondering so I can go sell my blood to the donor bank for the DIY WB now

Hey Tim, I've been through the Datalogit Egroups forum and I just want to wish you tons of luck with it. Every post is about the Not Responding Issue, now that the so called patch has finally fixed it, maybe we can get some other questions answered. I find this forum to be much more enthusiast oriented where people will give information away over and over again, even when some refuse to use the search button! I also hope you don't have to go through the web page cannot be displayed page whenever you click to see the files... I'd love to get the patch, but looks like I'm out of luck for now...
Can't wait to download this 1.082, can anyone tell me if the server's down or if checking every day is a waste of time?
Obviously frustrated,
Richard

I just downloaded a second copy of the zip and there is no problem. Are you sure you are logged onto the right datalogit group? There are a number of datalogit groups and only one has the files for FDs. The address is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Datalogit-FD3S and it is an "invitation only" site as far as downloads and posts. You can only join this group if you are a registered owner and receive an invitation email.

When you purchase the datalogit ask the guys from RX7.com (the only registered US distributor) to make sure that you get put you on the list. You will receive an invitation letter. Currently there are 148 members on this list.

Yes Jeff48, as I previously mentioned, I have browsed the entire site and know of all the INR posts, so obviously, I am a "registered owner" and member of the site. The files section does not work and I have posted about this on the site, and this again shows that people care nothing for any other posts besides the INR ones. Thank you for your suggestion of becoming a member though...

Sorry that you can't download but that seems to be a user specific problem. As I said I even "test downloaded" a number of files. Since you are logged in on the correct site
( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Datalogit-FD3S ) there should be no reason not to be able to download. Can you try accessing it from another PC?

You can try calling the guys at RX7.com. Worth a try.

Jeff48,
I apologize for getting so bitchy with you. The real problem in my opinion has been the e-groups. A simple web page with a nice forum would have been a better way of dealing with software updates and help, but I guess e-groups is free or something. Hell, you don't even get a manual with the $300 you spend. And currently, I don't even have the manual (can't access files). When I emailed Glen, he told me, keep trying... What kind of customer service is that? In my opinion, it's his fault that I'm having the INR problems, and that's all I hear about when I can't even get the basic information about how to use the Datalogit. In my opinion, I'm getting ripped with $300 for something that I could make at Radio Shack for $30 when I would be getting the same service and support that I am with the "Datalogit". If anyone would like to email me the 1.082 update and manual, I would appreciate it, but until I can get my *** to Kinko's and spend money per minute to download the file to a disk, or go to the University for it, I'm stuck with INR and no manual.
