Ive got a Power FC and im looking to buy a datalogit for it, but i can not figure out if the datalogit software will work with Windows 8 on PC/tablet. Ive emailed the company and have gotten no responce so i am hoping someone on here can help.

 

it might in compatibility mode, FCEdit works on windows 7.

 

So will I have full use of the system?

 

Since DATALOGIT is so slow, you do not need a new laptop to run it.
Go out a buy a used laptop with XP, VISTA, or W7 on it and use it only for tuning.
Disable all not needed services (about 75% of them) and all not needed software, along with anti virus software.

Clean out the registry and storage with the free CCLEANER.
I did that for about 7 years until my used only laptop died. Only then did I buy a new laptop with W7.

Or remove W8 if it will not work and install W7.

 

Yeah I think I may be stuck doing that. I have a old laptop I can clean up and use for tuning. I was just wanting to use my tablet because then I could hard mount it to the car.

 

I haven't had it connected to the datalogit in the car yet, but i have used FC edit on my new laptop with Win 8, 64bit.

 

Awesome. Ill do the initial work on my old laptop just to get everything going and the first tune done. Then ill worry about the tablet swap, mainly because i cant fabricate a mount till i get back to the states with the car.
