Hi guys . I have a 1996 JDM series 7 . Do i need to cut wires as well to install my power fc ? Or is it straight forward plug and play ?

 

It is plug and play but I have a question about the car and computer. What is the first number in the vin on the firewall and what series is the computer for. I only ask as 96 should be a series 4 not 7 and that was the only year for that exact series. The computer has to be for that exact year as it was different than all the others.

 

Don't worry I know that the power fc series is not the same system as Mazda used . The cars Vin is FD3S-402694 ( series 7 produced April 1996 . The power FC is for 12/95 - 12/98 so everything should be fine . The serial on my power FC is weird but it's the correct part according to the manual ( it's in Japanese so not much use for me )
