Datalogit logging problems (lc-1, knock, etc)
Just got the car running again today. I wired up the LC-1 to the datalogit and for some reason it is constantly reading 0 under Map Watch. I have the brown wire (analog out 2) wired to AN1 and then the system ground, analog ground, and xd-16 ground, all wired to AN2 and an ECU ground, then the heater ground is wired to a chassis ground. The XD-16 and LC-1 are working right (confirmed with LogWorks), but still nothing in the Datalogit software. In auxilary inputs in FC-Edit I have AN1 set as my wideband input (0V=7.35,5V=22.**) and have AN1-AN2 Delta checked. That is the first problem, not sure where to go from here.
The other issue is, when I do map watch on knock (basic and advanced) it just reads 0 all the time. I'm not sure if the problems could be related in anyway or not.
Also, when I start logging, the commander stops displaying new information, but continues as soon as I end a log session.

i am seeing zero for my lc1 also, im pretty certain i have everything setup correctly. i don't have eveything checked under monitor but i do have AUX a/d checked. I setup a watch for an1 an2 wideband and it just shows 0.
This is with the car off, i havent tried with the car running. but i figured it would show something. I am getting a voltage reading from the wideband using an electrical tester and i have no error codes so im pretty sure it isnt the sensor.
Assuming i have everything set up correctly with the wideband. what all do i need to change in the dataloggit?

To view you wideband AFRs on Map Watch, you need to check at a minimum, the Aux A/D and Map Ref boxes under; Monitor/Window/FC Edit main page. And then set your input levels for AN1-AN2 under; Auxiliary/Setup/FC Edit main page. Then if you want Basic Knock, Boost etc, you can check the Basic box on the monitor page. You want to use the minimum number of selections on the monitor page, because the more you check the slower the logging sample rate becomes. Also the commander is disabled when logging to the PC.

Right, unless you have a seperat display module for your wideband. Here is an example display set up I use. So when the PC is logging I can stop and take a quick look at the map watch, I also have the watches on in this shot but thay are hard to read while driving. For this I select; Aux A/D, Basic and Map Ref
It's a bit hard to read; Green =basic RPM, Blue=basic knock, Red=basic INJ duty cycle, Purple=ARFs and Orange=basic boost

You will only see the AFR's on the datalogit while you are logging (press F1). When you are in the map watch screen, you can go into the menu and set the "source" to Advance (if you are logging advance) or Map Ref if you are only logging Map Ref. I don't think that it affects the reading significantly.
All initial tuning while the engine may be in danger of being harmed, should be done by two people; driver and laptop operator.
This is the safe way.
After the tune is safe but you want to tweak it a little, then go out by yourself but you should not be looking at the laptop while driving.
