The new laptop I bought doesnt have a serial port. I found a male serial port to USB connector wire. Has anyone used one of these connectors to use the datalogit? I dont want to spend $25 for nothing, so I thought I would post and ask...

I use a usb to serial adaptor with mine

 

As do i. Just make sure you are using the correct com port when using the software.

 

Sweet I just picked one up form Radio Shack for $37.00. Using com5 everything seems to work fine now. Battery died so now i'm charging the battery so I can throw my FD on the dynapack this week! Thanx fellas for the help...
