Is the commander necessary if you use a datalogit to adjust the maps? I know it can be used to monitor temps and other readings, but is there anything you need on the commander that you can't do with a datalogit? Thanks.

You don't need the Commander but it's nice to have. Otherwise you will have to have a laptop hooked up to make any changes to the setup (like switch boost settings if you're not running a boost controller, etc).
