Red face Cut the pins on PFC or wires in harness?

Hi Guys;

I just bought a used PFC in ebay and maybe you can help me decide whether I cut the pins on it or cut the wires on the wire harness.

The PFC has no more warranty and probably the seller won't refund me the money if the unit is not good anyway, I guess this is the risk I took when I bought it in ebay in the first place.

Not cutting the wires on the harness eliminates the chances of cutting the wrong wire and I can quickly switch back to the stock ECU easily if I have too.

Anybody went through this kind of dilemma? What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I like Dale's idea of pulling the pins out...

If you cut the wires on the harness, you can always reconnect them. You can either solder or use male/female connectors.

Cutting pins is not reversible, so you better get it right the first time
