Confused? do the numbers to left represent kg/cm^2

if so, then most of the timing maps on her only differ once getting up to like 16 and 17 # of boost. Houston 2 is 2 deg. advanced at the most., and spyfish 3 or 4 deg. Does that pressure reading represent something other than boost?

Just thought we could beat this topic to death a bit more, lol. You know what they say about beating a dead horse... keep beating.

From what I can tell (I was researching this alot this past weekend since I'm trying to do some tuning on my own for the first time ever), the number on the left is kg/cm^2. They advance linearly from 0 to 1.6 (row 16), in steps of 0.1. After row 1.6, they advance 0.2 each time, so that row 17 is 1.8, row 18 is 2.0, row 19 is 2.2, and row 20 is 2.4. That's also absolute pressure, where 1.0 is atmospheric, so it really goes from 735mmHg to 1.4kg/cm^2 (19.88 psi?).

There seems to be some confusion as to whether or not all PFC's are 0.0 to 2.4, or 0.0 to 2.0. I don't have my version number handy, but I've got the second revision of both, the one where the newer commanders wouldn't work with the other PFC's, and vice versa.

I'm not sure that was your question, though, since you seem to have already had that well figured out in another thread...

If you're just looking for confirmation of what you already knew, then the ghost trace I ran this morning while watching my boost guage seems to verify it. I hit 0.8kg/cm^2 on the guage, and the ghost shows me in row 17, which is 18000, or 1.8 aka 0.8.

I was just trying to confirm, thanks. so 1.2 woudl actually be a .2 reading of PFC boost gauge.

I am just analysing these damn things. They seem to retard quite a bit at low rpm (houston2, spyfish) these seems interesting, becaue my knock level was significanlty lower around 3k rpm when using spyfish maps, I belive from the retarded ignition.

I may be wayl off, I am not abosolutely sure how all these **** works, just muddling my way through.

There seems to be two sets of base maps.
One stock and one for some mods.
I am attaching both in a zip file.

Look at the timing and especially the timing split.

The one that says base with some mods, is actually the Apex PFC base map. Shoudl I assume the one you call stock, which is same as spyfish(-except for errors) is what the stock ECU did?

I do not know where both originate from. I assume both are Apexi.

The one I call BASE MOD has more retard at the high boost and revs area. This one was posted to the FORUM this year as MAP SET 2. My Shane Racing PFC maps are based on it(Houston set 1).

The one called BASE STOCK was posted to the RX7 List last summer when the PFC came out. Houston set 2 is baes on it.

You cal tell by looking at columns N1 through about N5.

I also noticed bsae stock has more reatrd at low rpm, and more advance on higher RPMs. It seems like most maps stem from these 2.
