Check engine light?
I'm probably soon to be in the market for a PFC (although the AEM is too close to call...) and had a question about the check engine light. I downloaded the instructions for the PFC from the apexi-usa site and it said that the check engine light would come on with the key, go off as usual, and then it would flash if you max out your injectors or a couple of other things. But it looked like the instructions were for a Civic, I believe. Anyone know if the same thing applies to a FD?
I've seen people complaining about this, but wondered if maybe the newest ones address this issue.
Thanks in advance

No check engine with the FD PFC. This causes problems for California owners because of emissions testing. The PFC will illuminate the exhaust overheat light on the center console if it detects a problem.
Screw that Honda PFC ... look at the top of the PFC forum to get the FD PFC manual in pdf format.

no check engine light for me, no exh. overheat light either...
I had a loose MOP connector in the engine bay, causing the Vmop to read as 0V (in the PFC keypad sensor check page). Took me a while to notice it too, since neither the check engine light nor overheat exhaust light came on.
Please make it a point to check the sensor check page regularly. I really don't know why Apex'i didn't bother to implement the CEL as it is such a simple and necessary thing to do.

That exhaust warning light has to be in the worst possible location, anyway! Maybe if I were superman and could see through my arm......
Man, I tell you what, I've been reading a lot about the AEM and they're finally just about to convert me.....
Thanks for the replies about the light, though!
