Change when fans comeon with apexi sw???
Hi Everyone,
I just got my motor back from a year build and my tuner uses the apexi sw as opposed to the datalogit. I know on the datalogit you can change the temp when the fans come on but is it possible to do it with the apexi sw? My tuner says he cant find a section to turn it on.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave

Pretty much no one has used the Apexi software, so you're on your own there. But, there are other ways of getting the fans under control - FC thermoswitch and electronic fan controllers, for example.

oh well...ill look into it a bit more otherwise ill get the datalogit to change it myself.
Thanks for the info.
Is there a reason why people tend to use the datalogit more?
Ill look up the other things you have recommended.

The Datalogit has been around for quite some time. The PowerExcel software was originally an Apexi-dealer only thing, and was impossible for the end user to get their hands on. They only just made it easily available within the last year.
The PowerExcel software JUST hooks to the PFC for programming. The Datalogit also has inputs to hook up other data sources to log, like a wideband, which is VERY helpful when doing tuning.
