You need a datalogit to change the temp settings.

On setting 3 at the bottom "Fans vs Water Temp"

I have mine set at:
86
86
88

I've never paid much attention to the speeds after I changed mine. I haven't had any cooling problems so that's all I can tell you. Maybe one of the gurus will chime in soon.

That's weird. I guess I never actually checked what level they're running on either. I always thought the Fan2 setting on page 3 was the temperature the high level would come on.

And by the way, I really don't think you'd want to set them for 83 other than for testing. The thermostat is only trying to keep the temps at 86, IIRC. At 83 your fans would probably run all the time.

Yep, that's the same FMIC I have. Usually it doesn't seem to hurt unless I'm boosting quite a bit though. But I don't think 94 is anything to worry about. For me, 100 is where I start looking for ways to help it get cooled back down again.

If you have the FAN MOD SW installed, and turn it on, it bumps the speed to the next level if it has not already been done.

There was a writeup a few years ago about how to rewire the relays so there were only two speeds: medium and high with them replacing low and medium.
This did not require the FAN MOD SW.
