a/c fix

evidently no one wants their a/c to work on all 4 fan speeds as I have only heard from 1 person regarding the a/c fix.

On a 93 model RX-7 there is a 22 pin ( 2 rows of 11 each) connector in your stock wiring harness that plugs into your power f/c. On the bottom row there is a yellow wire with a black stripe, ( a/c input). On the top row there is a purple. or violet if you like, wire (a/c output). The 94 wires are different colors as is probably the same with the 95. There appears to be a switching curcuit within the power f/c that controls the a/c, but there also appears to be a problem within this curcuit that doesn't allow the compressor to energize on fan speed 3. To overcome this problem on the 93 cut the yellow/black wire and without cutting the purple wire strip back enough insulation to connect the yellow/black wire to it. The a/c should now work on all 4 speeds. You may have to adjust your idle as you have bypassed the control curcuit rendering it inoperative. I did not have to adjust mine. You will also have to install a vacuum control switch to cut off the a/c under boost, and to turn it back on again when driving normally, as once again you have bypassed the control curcuit. When I have more time I will try to post the installation of the vacuum switch. killer13b
