A/C Blows hot on ALL levels

I didn't want to take someone elses thread, so I wanted to post my own.

What might cause the AC not to work on ANY levels? I had the FC installed and now it blows hot air on all levels, but the compressor never kicks on. I have read that it wouldn't work on some levels, but I haven't seen anything about it not working on ANY levels. There is no power going to the compressor. If you go across the relay the compressor comes on. Anyone knows what the problem could be.

Searched till I feel asleep at the computer, but almost all of the threads were people with problems where the ac only worked on certain levels. I couldn't find one where the ac didn't work on any levels.

Most of the problems are related to the fan speed switch it seems. May be a case of your car's switch is dirty enough that it doesn't work on all speeds.

Make sure the AC still works with the stock ECU too.

Yes, It still works with the stock computer. I wanted to replace the fan switch because I have heard so much about it being a weak link after so many years. Does anyone know the part number and how hard is it to replace. Does it involve taking the dash apart to get the switch out???

You have to pull the radio/AC panel, which is a pretty substantial job. It's not TOO bad though, about an afternoon of work. Just gotta take your time.

Call Ray at Malloy Mazda - 888-533-3400. Just tell him what you're looking for and he'll get you a price - he doesn't need a part number.
