bouncing idle on warm starts

I often get the problem where the idle bounces around from about 600 to 1500rpm, and almost dies on warm or hot starts. It returns to normal if i rev the engine a couple times or after a few minutes. Any ideas what might cause this? Is it a known issue?

OK I'm not the only one....

My car starts fine, cold/hot... but after I drive it around, park it and not let it completely cool down, i get the same symptoms...

I hope its an easy fix...

All of these are an indication that your hot or cold idles are not properly adjusted. Either too much or too little air or fuel!

Time to seacrh this forum, and use your commander and screwdrivers and play mechanic. You could buy my notes for much much more info.
