Boost and Fuel?

I have been running ectremely rich from having my PFC tuned by XS so I figured this would even it out some more. I was hitting 100% Inj. Duty at .84 bar.
Tonight, I upped the boost up from:
.80/.70 .90/.80 up to 1.00/.90, 1.00/.90 I also dropped the PIM Volt down to 95% and went out and ran it up some to see what it did and I still only hit .84 bar. Is there something else I have to do to get the boost up higher? Is there any other maps that I have to change, like Ignition maps or Injector maps in order to run more boost? I figured that more air would lean out my mixture some that I would leave the fuel maps alone and just add more boost. My mods are listed below if someone has a map that is working good for them.
I have now sold my Pettit CB, Pettit Intake, and Blitz SMIC and purchased a Blitz NURSpec Exhaust, Trust Intake, and a Greddy FMIC. Any help would be great.

I'm pretty new at this, so take my advice with a grain of salt! It's my understanding that you're going to want to be very careful upping boost AND dropping your fuel. How do you know you're running rich? As I'm sure you're aware, don't rely on your stock O2 sensor.

As far as your original question, you should ideally only have to change your boost settings to increase boost. However, in reality there's lots of things that play into it. If someone has changed your pills, I think that can come into play. Another thing that I think a lot of people experience are minor leaks that only become evident at higher boost levels.

Obviously you don't want to be hitting 100% inj duty. I read that 80% is the most you'll want to be doing regularly. Also, I couldn't tell if you were implying that you thought you would lean out your maps by upping boost, but that won't be the case since it moves to a different place on the map based on boost levels. Well my exhaust smells like a gas station. I also shoot flames and have black residue in the exhaust tip which both point to running rich. I assumed that the more air I could flow with less fuel that it would lean it out some. I guess not. I don't to run at this amount of boost all the time but I feel that my engine can take an occasional 14lb pass every now and then. What does everyone have their boost settings at? I am looking for a map for a:
Streetport
FMIC
Intake
DP, MP, CB
Pulley Kit
Fuel Pump
All the PFC maps are different then my own. Anyone's help would be great. I do not want to hurt my car but I know I am not running to potential. I am going to dyno tune it this summer but until then I would like to help the maps a little.

The # you have been setting is the target boost. You have to up the duty cycle % to achieve that target. Read the manual, pgs 27-28.

Don't raise boost in an attempt to lean out your car. Lower your PIMs, pg 24.

Maybe we can get some of the more experienced to chime in, but in the meantime...

Again, I would be extremely careful if you ever see 100% duty cycle. I saw it happen to a guy on the dyno last weekend, and at that point your A/F ramps up at a scary rate. In other words, you may run rich everywhere, but when you get near redline and max out the injectors you could run dangerously lean. Plus, I've heard the midpipe seriously affects exhaust smell. My personal advice would be to leave things rich until you get real A/F ratios to work with. Not worth popping an engine. Are you fouling your plugs?

The other thing is that I think XS is the only place that modifies the base maps on the PFC. So the maps you read from the commander will be different from everyone else since we're starting with base mod maps. You'd need the datalogit to see what's really going on.

I don't have any manual. I just have a bunch of Japanese paperwork. My car ran rich with my Catalytic Converter on as well. Thanks for all the input. I would love to hear from other members as well. I want my car to run good but not dangerously good...
You car will never run as good or as hard as it does when it is lean to the point of detonation. Scary thought considering it is a fresh engine about 6000 miles ago.

Installing a FMIC and going non-sequential. Does anyone have nay input on how this will change my ratios? I want to get it tuned properly but I want to be able to run at 13-14psi when at the track but I have not been able to get past .84 on the PFC which is like 11.5-12lbs. Any help would be great. Any maps would be great.

Have you changed your duty cycles yet like skotx told you to do? If you are not hitting your target boost then you need to do that 1st. We are talking about boost duty cycle setting that is next to the target boost setting.

If your hitting 100% injector duty cycle now then the last thing you should be thinking of is upping the boost!

Think of it like this: The ECU see's 12PSI, and by it's programmed maps it runs the injectors flat open into saturation, the fuel dribbles out & the rail pressure drops.

You up the boost in a effort to lower A/F, but the injectors are still running at saturation & your poor fuel pump is going to crap since it can't keep up which could lead to a toasted motor at a very young age!

You need to fix the A/F at all boost levels. Start at 10PSI, then work with higher boost levels.

In my opinion nothing over 12PSI should be run with the stock fuel pump!
