blank commander-won't start

every once in a while when I turn the key, the commander stays blank. the engine will turn over, but never catch. Banging on the kick panel where the ecu is once or twice brings up the screen on the commander and the car will start. Usually happens when the car is hot. Where should I look first? Is my PFC toast?

Disconnect all PFC connectors and check for any pins that might have backed out. Then reconnect and test.

Do not forget to disconnect the battery first!

thanks...once the hurricane passes I will get out there and look. is there a wire by wire diagram in the manual? can't recall off the top of my head, but I can see that there is an orange wire that doesn't appear to go to anything...

At the back of the "F" section in the factory manual.
