is base map safe

If I have my boost turned all the way down my car runs about 4-5lbs of boost on my t78.. would the base map be safe for me to drive on or is there another map that would work. I have stock injectors, upgraded fuel pump, aromotive FPR, Street port, 3mm apex seals, t78, fmic, pulleys, full exhaust.

NO..... Get it properly mapped. I would hate to see a rotary engine die due to running lean.

You are running porting, full exhaust system, front mount, big turbo, etc. so even with the uprated pump the car is still most likely running lean up top.

At least get it checked on a set of rollers.

And will it be safe enough for me to start the car and let it go through its stuff and rev it to make sure my hesitation went away?

It should be ok for the idle and rev bit, but I wouldnt want to go driving it around without getting it properly looked at.

Do you have a wideband O2 sensor? This will help to tell if you're running lean or not.

And your stock injectors will not be good for over 12PSI boost either most likely.

I had to go to 1200 sencd with a almost stock port running 14PSI.

If its sensible driving to and from places without boost you might be able to get away with it. But I am not responsible for anything going wrong.

Hey Godzilla-T78

The base map will work if you are not going to be boosting it and you just want to drive around town. I dont make any changes to the map until higher boost levels. Just dont boost it high in the RPM range.

I drove on the base map with my rx6 during the entire break in period and a little beyond with nary a hiccup, boosting to 14-15psi after breakin with <20 knock and <10.5 on the wideband. Hey Jason, how come you don't answer my emails for a map???

Jason,

Do you have a map for 1600cc secondaries, and a single turbo. I am having one hell of a time trying to find one for now.
