Question bad idea to install PFC on a sick car?

My FD is currently experiencing boost problems. Well... possibly not boost problems, but certainly a lack of power from the secondary. These problems (and the lack of time/place to diagnose the turbo system) have made me wary of installing my PFC. It's been sitting in my apt. for weeks! I want it in my car! Do you guys think it would be a bad idea to install it? Could it possibly help me diagnose my problem since I'd have more info at my fingertips? Everything else on my car is fine running with a Pettit ECU.

I don't see how it would hurt the car in anyway. If you are experiencing lack of power from the secondary it is most likely you are not getting 10psi. Having a boost gauge will definitely help you out on finding out your problem. You can monitor the boost using the Commander from the Power FC. When you first install the unit it will idle really weird. The Power FC has to learn as you drive it for a few minutes.
