Just looking to get an Apexi Power FC comander for my rx7

Is this unit a direct swap for my current mods:
Cat back, Intake, DP

I am also looking to purchase the ECU/Comander off of ebay, anything I should be looking for / weary about ?

Also if anyone has one for sale on the forum I would be interested as well.

Had my rx7 for about 4 years now, looking to start investing some money into it to make it go fast =) up till now it was just a sunday cruiser.

Has anyone ever herd of a POWER FC BOOST CONTROL KIT ? looking at this power seller on ebay and this is optional with the kit??? anyone ever herd of this b4?

 

If it has the base mod map in it then yes. Will run a hair rich but be ok. They all come w/ this map from apex unless they have been re-tuned for a specific application. If you are patient you can find agood used one in the for sale section. I think there is at least 1 for sale right now. G

 

Can this basic map set up be set at any time? How can i check to see if the Map setting have been changed?

Most people selling them have them tunned to their cars.

Also, what is a pfc datalogit?

 

Your car should allways be retuned. no two tunes are the same, I recommend going profec B with PFC

 

Two ways to read and change the settings of a PFC:
1) Use the PFC Commander (the handheld keypad)
2) Use the datalogit interface to connect a laptop.

The datalogit I believe is much faster and more powerful for tuning, but most folks leave that to their tuner and just buy the commander.

Would a datalogit come in the original box ?
or is it seperate from the package all together

profec B is a greddy boost controller, very reliable up to 2 bar+.

 

The PFC, commander, and datalogit are separate items. Unless you see them listed don't assume you're getting it.

What is the datalogit comprised of ?

 

Can the base map setting be reverted back at any time through the PFC comander?
or once the maps have been changed is it set in stone, until you have your tuner adjust it ?

 

its a electronic box that you hook up in between the PFC and commander. Has a serial port built in on the datalogit and you can purchase the option for a USB converter plug. Also comes with a software CD and FC-Datalogit sticker


Yes, you can initialize your PFC from your commander and it'll reset to Base Map or Base Mod Map depending on what model you got. But if your MAP has been tuned, you'll need a Datalogit +computer if you want to save your current map before reset.
