i read somewhere that if you disconnect the battery your PFC will reset. then when you go to start the car up again itll idle funny just the way it did when you first got it. it has to relearn the car again. is this true or not??? will it reset my fuel and ignition maps as well??? what exactly does it reset and what doesnt it?

Disconnecting the battery will NOT erase any of the settings or maps. It will however lose the idle control memory. It will re-learn the idle the next time it starts up.

i found this thread, and i have a similar question.

Other car's ECU's you can just reset by pulling the radio fuse or disconnecting the battery to adjust to slight climate change. Is it possible to reset the PFC without relearning the idle??

it would be a bit tedius if everytime i reset the ecu (not reinitialize) and i'll have to wait 20-30 minutes before hitting the track ...

any info will be greatly appreciated. thx in advance
