I recently purchased a Power FC for my FC3S and need to purchase the 3 bar map sensor yet I cannot find anyone who sells it. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Is the map sensor all thats needed for the FC3S version of the Power FC? I believe ive heard of having to use a FD intake air temp sensor as well. TIA

oh ya.. to change from afm to a 3bar map sensor, you need the datalogit or someone with the power xl software..

 

I had to wait a long tmie for my Apexi boost kit. They sell like hot cakes in Japan, so had to special order it in.

We were talking about the 3 Bar MAP Sensor, not the boost control kit. Do you have a Apexi 3 Bar Map Sensor?

Turbo the boost kit comes with the Apexi 3 Bar map sensor.

No, you can't purchase the power xl software. To my knowledge, the Datalogit does everything it does plus some.

If you change the map sensor you have to change the [PIM volt] setting in the power fc (page 23 of the manual). I believe Option 1 comes preset for the Apexi boost control kit. If you went with the GM 3 bar map sensor or something else, I think you'd need the Datalogit to tweak the boost offset and such.
