I wanna try taking away the lowest ranges of map PIM 1000 - 3000. Anything in 3000's is only reached when I'm off throttle (bridge port'd) and as soon as I crack the throttle I move into the mid 4000's. So atleast 2 rows of the map are completly untouched and even the 3000 row doesn't do anything since the injectors are off.

I've rescaled the map refernce to be 4000 - 23000 with 1000 increments, I then converted the IGL, IGT, and INJ maps to be the same after the change.

Anyone have any thoughts or have tried this before?

 

it's been done... one guy on Chuck's PFC tuning group has done it at least

 

I am thinking of doing a similar thing. I'm interested in peoples thoughts on keeping the steps equal or is anyone using different steps for different portions?

Most engines idle in P rows 4 to 5. That means P1 - P3 are useless and can be removed.
Large port engines idle in columns N3 - N5. So they also can be rescaled.

It is easy to do but when you do it to the Settings 3, do not forget to also do it to:
INJ ADJ, IGL, IGT, and Base Map.

I've also removed 1000 and 2000 to give more resolution under boost. You really don't need those high cells.
