I got ahold of Apexi PFC commander pro tuning Software and cable and having a few issues and wanted to see if anyone else has it and can help me out. Currently we are trying to adjust timing with the software but it doesn't change it on the car with us plugged into the pfc

This looks good. It's an Apex-i product, it includes the cable, and it's noticeably cheaper than the FC Datalogit (http://www.rx7store.net/Apexi_FC_Com...p/415-x910.htm) vs (http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/pricing.html). Cheaper shipping makes it an even better deal.

The Power FC FAQ says the manual and software are only in Japanese (http://paulr33.com/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm#22). If you take a close look at the pic on the RX-7 Store, the sticker on the box says it's the "English language version". Maybe it's a new version.

Does anyone know anything else about it?

 

I have never personally used this software but from what I've been told, it's basically the Commander on your computer screen. It doesn't have access to all the settings.

I have the "real" Apex'i software, which I've never actually used on a vehicle. It's designed for Japanese-language Windows. It doesn't have any capabilities that are better than the Datalogit.

 

Yes the apexi commander pro software that rx7store sells is a newly released version from apexi in English. I purchased it but decided with the lack of tuners knowledgable with it and lack of support because of that to also purchase datalogit which arrives tomorrow. I'll take a look at them both and compare a bit. From what I've read in other forums the apexi commander pro is easier to use and more user friendly but gives you basically the same tuning options as just using the handheld commander while the datalogit gives access to hidden tuning features. Both allow datalogging. And people say unless your a skilled tuner you probably aren't using those hidden features anyways. The datalogit has been around much longer so it's more widely accepted and has more shop support.
