Another Smog Post -- Good News

My '93 is pretty clean and well maintained, intake, dp, pettit hf cat, cb, ic, 550/1300, fuel pump, twin power, Power FC, etc. Failed my Georgia smog test on low speed run. (Georgia does two different speed tests using dyno). Everything was good except CO on low speed test. Anyway, long story short (and maybe lazy man's way to pass) I just went into the "settings 3" screen and lowered the "Inj Adj" from 100 to 95 for the 1000 RPM - 3000 RPM range (5% fuel cut across the board for these RPM ranges) and it passed with flying colors. Could have done the same thing by going into the map and adjusting cells, but I was short on time. Anyway, hopes this may help someone else.

Texas also does two dyno tests: 15 mph in second gear, and 25 mph in third gear.

The problem with both these tests, is that they load the engine to a part of the map that is not use in real world driving.

I logged my two runs with the DATALOGIT.
At 15mph it was at (P7, N4).
At 25mph it was at (P6, N5).

That's why I logged the runs, so I could see exactly what fuel cells were being used. They would not let me stay in the car, so I showed the testing person how to push a button on the laptop to start the logging. I could have gotten a long cable and ran the laptop from outside.

You have to run the 25 mph test in 3rd. Running it in 2nd puts the rpm above 2500 rpm and the PFC shuts the airpump off.
