Another possible solution for the PowerFC AC problem

OK, as we know, some cars' AC doesn't cooperate well with the PowerFC. One workaround is to bypass the ECU's control of the AC - this does work, but it will leave the AC engaged at high RPM or load unless you manually turn it off. This is a Bad Thing for the AC compressor, not to mention it robs power.

Found this from Zeitronix -

Awful name, though .

Basically, it wires into the TPS signal down by the ECU and splices into the AC signal. At more than 60% throttle, the AC is switched off, and will stay off for 6 more seconds once the throttle returns below 60%. This basically emulates the control of the AC that the ECU has.

The price is really reasonable ($55) and it's VERY possible that it will work. Worth trying if you've had AC problems from the get-go, or haven't had luck with cleaning the fan switch.

Any thoughts?

Dale

I am not sure if this will work because if there is no turning on of the A/C to start with how will it act ?
