Aliens stopping my car..they're jealous

OK another HMMMM.
Things were cool with the car. Three things that changed were. GM 3 bar. Started adding 104 and the P/N row mods.
Car ran fine for a day. Bing it stalled died while at a light.
Hmm. It will start cold and idle. Soooo I watch and log all parameters. Verify against other maps and every page setting1-5. I thought maybe it was fuel. Fuel Pressure gauge stays at 38 .I let car warm up. It dies, especially under a load like using the power steering . I bought a new GM 3 bar again.... just in case
I raise idle to compensate for loads. I check the idle air & water temp inj. settings.
Map sensor is responding (Chuck W ....got back to me and my offset is really close)I check pullies for binding.

Plugs were changed again. I did notice something ........the injector percentage starts @3% and drops during cranking to 1% when motor is warmed up. When motor and ignition is cold everything fires right off.
Man this is stumping me. I reset everything. Had a witness and log parameters. Car is running fine and its like a space ship came to my driveway and used some sort of supa gammma electro force to kill it!

It is all in the PIM setting for the map sensor.

If your idle was at (4,5) with the stock sensor and stock map scale/offset values, then P row 4has a PM ABS value of 4000 in setting 3.

Then you put in the 3bar. But when the engine idles, the PIM ABS in not 4000, so it uses a different P row which is not tuned for idle. This hoses all your previous tuning.

That is why you calibrate the stock sensor first so you know PIM V the vacuum/boost for each row. Then you calibrate the new map sensor to what PIMS ABS it makes for the same vacuum/boost. If it was 5000, you have to now use 5000 for P row 4.

You know that I tried out Brian's Excel PIM ABS worksheet. It works great.

Here are the results for the stock map sensor with the stock Scale/Offset; which we all know is off some. I did this using the BLITZ boost controller's built in 3BAR sensor boost reading and my Autometer. I do not know how accurate they are but I would think the BLITZ is more accurate than the cheaper AUTOMETER.

Any way, I am awaiting the arrival of a 4.5" diameter 0-30psi pressure gauge that is suppose to be a GRADE 2A, that is +_.005% accuaracy over the complete scale.
This will be my definitve calibration of my map sesnor before I change my SCALE/OFFSET in order to have the DL record boost accurately and to setup my P rows .

Chuck, Brian

Is this the corrected version?

Yes, if you open it up it ask you to identify your DL!

Yes "version 2" is the one that works right for 1.x or 2.x versions of FC Edit. The first one did not work right if you had the 1.x version of FC Edit.

I just got mine in from MightyVac and the pump doesnt do boost even though the owners manual said it would. The guage has measurements in .bar! Cool.
Now to get something that works.Another delay do to a manufacture ommission.

I made decimal error. My new gauge will have an accuracy of +_.5%

The MV can make very low pressure, the fitting is on top with a dust cover over it.
But it is not suitable for boost.

You need a setup like mine.
