Advice on having my a/c recharged for the first time since PFC install on my '93 base

I am dropping off my car to have the a/c recharged on Thursday. It hasn't been working since before the installation of my PFC. I want to avoid any unnecessary confusion on the tech's part. I obviously want him to check to make sure the system works, however, if he goes to performance check it on 4 and 4 doesn't work then he may think the compressor is falty. I'm obviously going to try to clue him in before he starts, but does anyone have any advice, etc. Any way I can check to see if my car will have the problem before I drop it off? Thanks in advance.

In the Etc, Sensor Check screen of the Commander it shows the status of the AC compressor. I believe is just says AC and there should be a little hollow circle next to it when it's off and a solid circle when it's on. Mine works on 1 and 2 but not 3 or 4.

Well, I just had my a/c recharged and it now works on all 4 fan settings, at least for now. This is both according to the ice cold air now flowing from the vents as well as the PFC sensor monitor which shows all filled circles with no fluctuations. Thanks for responding jr, Jason

Did you check it prior to having the system charged? I'm curious to know if charging the system caused the problems with the compressor cutting out on different fan settings to go away. Not that that would make any sense, but at this point nothing would amaze me.
