Question Adjust timing???

I just starting to tune with my power FC and have no clue what I am doing...with that said I have spoken with a shop that does pro tuning and they walked me thru uping my fuel to where I am now @ 11:1 AFR at full boost. But I am still concerned about my timing...under full boost my L timing is @ 21 degrees and I belive I should be @ 12...can I easily adjust this....PLEASE HELP, by the way my T timing is at 8-9 under full boost.

Boost pressure is only a small part of determining timing.

List all of your intake, IC, turbo, porting, and exhaust mods.

Only the mods that affect air flow through the engine.

I have custom intakes (basicly piping w/cone HKS style filters), Greddy FMIC, stock TT, the motor has been street ported, monster down pipe, and 3" Apexi exhaust w/no cat...also running 15psi boost.

I doubt you'll get any responses on tuning for timing other than Chuck. Most people on here just leave the timing maps the way they came with the PFC, other than cleaning up the split and the few bad cells. How are you determining that your leading timing is 21? If you're looking at the peak hold, you would see timing that advanced if you ran up to redline. On the high boost rows, timing is around 10-ish until you get to about 6800rpm, where it increases again.

Anyway, if you're not a guru at tuning, timing is not something you want to start experimenting with on a rotary unless you have deep pockets...

So have you been drifting yet? I'm surprised you don't have a lot of wheel hop problems unless you've already redone the suspension.

Sounds fun! Did you do any suspension/diff changes to the car or just take it out there stock? I've toyed with some drifting at autocrosses but I have a lot to learn.
