My FC controller wouldn't work the AC until I did the relay mod, but it would cut out after a few seconds. I also did a test with the ECU bypass, same, AC comes on then shuts off. I jumped the AC Thermo switch and the AC works. I put the relay mod back in because it controls the idle like the stock ECU, with the thermo switch jumped the AC works. So it must be the AC Thermo switch, the thermo switch stops the evaporator from icing up. The factory test of the thermo switch is a continuity test, the switch continuity checks out Ok, plug it back in and the AC doesn't work, puzzling, because it doesn't make sense, with continuity through the switch, the AC should work?
I've got the Mana evaporator and I can't find an AC thermo switch, the part seems to be discontinued....the label on the switch is Ranco Japan A28 3125 X221. Is there some replacement part that will fit the Mana evaporator box?
Has anyone else had this problem?
