Power FC 4 pins on PFC

4 pins on PFC

What do the 4 pins do on the PFC?...They have to do something....they don't just put them there for looks...Do the JDM's have something there that we don't? If they do nothing then why do we have to remove our 4 wires? What is their purpose?

The pins are for emissions in the U.S. not on Japanese cars (EGR, AWS). I don't know what the Jap FD's use the pins for.

I know the wires that go to the emission stuff--Are ytou saying that the pins coming off of the PFC are for emissions...If so then why do people tell us to remove these pins or the wires. The PFC from certain American dealers already have the pins removed on the PFC...Sometimes you have to cut the wires on the harness side...I want to know what the pins do on the PFC itself. Like I said before they were put there for a reason--What is it? I like to know what I'm removing and for what reason.

The 4 pins on the PFC are NOT for emissions. If someone had a Japanese '92-'95 FD pinout and could read it then they could could tell you.

P.S. You don't have to cut the wires. You can just remove the pins from the wiring harness. https://www.rx7club.com/power-fc-forum-47/how-pulling-pins-ecu-connector-424626/

OK got the PFC wired up.a..Pulled the 4 wires out from their connectors...And guess what.............................................. .....My A/C workes just fine---all settings and blows cold...
Now if I only can figure out why the damn idle is high w/no loads opn it--about 1200rpm...I did the initilization...10 no load--10rear def----10 w/A/C....Still acting funny(idle surges 400rpm) 1100-1500...very anoying!

Congrats on the A/C. I hope it continues to work for you.

The surging idle is likely either a vaccuum leak or the idle air bleed needing to be adjusted. The PowerFC may still be learning also. You might want to do a search.
