1993 single turbo rx7 power fc help
So i finally obtained my commander once again. I plugged it into my car and the 7 idled wonderfully. Purred like a kitten. After about 55 to 60° Celsius the car began to bog and eventually died. I knew something was funky with the tune from the fc since i dont believe it was my original one. I reset the fc to the base map and although my car was able to idle it ran very rough. 400 rpms or lower. Somewhat sounded like one rotor. After turning the car off i set my injector sizes up to see if i could richen the car a bit. There was a loud puff. Kind of like a toned down back fire while trying to start the car. Im no expert on tuning so i could really use some help with getting a simple map put on the car. Its a single turbo conversion with 550cc injectors as primaries and something like 1680cc for the secondaries.
Also after the odd backfire i checked for metal shards in the hopes i wouldn't find any out the exhaust pipe. I didnt luckily enough. Also if someone knows a good tuner i am willing to pay for a simple map just to get the car up and moving.
Thanks guys
Dan.

What is your full list of mods on the car?
I would check all of the pertinent sensors first. Map, IAT, Water thermo, tps, and make sure they are in spec with the pfc via the commander. If you have a non OEM map sensor then it needs to be calibrated within the pfc. With that, I would also varify that you have proper fuel pressure due to the fact that you have an after market fuel setup.
I usually send injectors off for cleaning and flow testing when I have received them second hand, allowing you to enter the correct inj sizes. Also, a simple compression test on the engine is always reassuring.
