Question A`PEX-i POWER FC QUESTION

Alright,

I'm planning on buying an HKS Racing Suction, RP Hi-Flow Cat, RP Fuel Pump, Heat range 9 plugs all around and I already have a A`PEX-i PS Revolution, and just need to install my HKS Downpipe. My question is, with the base map that comes with the PFC be fine with what I have? I want to run between 10-12 lbs. of boost. I will also have an aluminum radiator and ast, not that it would make a difference I think.

will it run? yes. But the base map isnt that great even for a STOCK 7. You will have alot more airflow coming in and going out. you need to get a tune...

I would recommend you install the parts when you know you have a date to get it prof tuned.

I put a Wideband on my car to see my A/F ratio's with the base map. I was running lean as hell up top under WOT. Thats when i just had a DP CB and intakes.

Yes the map should be fine. The map the pfc comes with is conservative but meant for dp, intake, catback, and upgraded intercooler if i remember correctly. I would not take it over 10psi untill you get it tuned though.

I have an HKS Racing Intake in stock. Give me a call for a killer deal.

There is no need to get a fuel pump unless you are getting larger injectors, so you can save some money there. The default PFC map should be ok at 10 psi with those mods, but if you want to be safe, you can easily add a few % of fuel under boost, using the Commander.

You will want to get the PFC tuned or at the very least, get it on a wideband at a dyno to verify safe AFRs.

Thanks for the help guys, aye Jason, I was going to get the intake and ecu from you anyway. I don't think I'm going to run the fuel pump or 9 around plugs anymore. Just the intake dp, hi-flow cat, and my catback. I'm saving up for an intercooler. So will not having an intercooler affect anything with the base map? I think I'll run 10psi, but will I see any boost creep or anything else bad?
