Hi Blake,

Got the kit...thx. FYI the supplied K050420 will be too long for ppl w/ the full Unorthodox Racing SS pulley kit (w/p, alt, main, p/s). I will try a something closer to 400 or 405 .

As you said, it's a business and the sole purpose of a business is to make money (more the better). They would probably still advertise $239 shipped GB cost even for a lower bid... more profit in their pocket, that's what it's all about.

BTW-Rob G is about the coolest and most unconcerned about profit rotarhead I've met. I'll vouch for him and only him. Oh yeah, Minnesota Mike.

Would you be interested in making just the pulley for me and what would it cost just for that. I have several bearings I was going to use, may even press out the stock one from the alt. tensioner to use. Let me know and TIA, Jack

That bracket wouldn't cost any more than 30-50 dollars to machine depending on the quantity. Same goes with the pulleys. The wouldn't have much tied up in the initial programming either. A kid could draw up those brackets in about a whole 10 minutes. With this job being so small, a machine shop would require a minimum amount to be ordered, which would also keep the cost down, while making this worth while to machine.

For that price, you'd be better off doing it yourself by getting a custom length belt, and having the bracket made. You could get ahold of a bearing through MSC that will hold the belt and so on.

If they brought the price down to around $180.00-$200.00, then it'd be somewhat worth it.

I don't mean to be an ***, i'm just speaking the truth. I personally own a machine shop with 4 cnc mills and 2 cnc lathes so I know exactly what it would take to machine the brackets/pulleys, just in case someone thinks i'm bashing/speaking out of my ***.

Could a mod delete this thread? The GB ended a long time ago and all our pulley kits are sold out anyway...guess they weren't overpriced afterall, eh?! If we make another batch and decide to do another GB, we'll just start with a fresh thread. Thanks.
