I edited a higher quality video on defeating the dreaded Eccentric Shaft Thermal Bypass Valve (aka Thermal Pellet) and posted it as an "eProduct" on our website as a $0.99 download. This is a 27 meg, 320x240, 800kbps Quicktime encoded video. First of many pay-to-download videos we will be selling. A low-quality streaming video version will still be available for free on REI but, for less than a buck, this is a pretty good deal and helps support our video making efforts.

Wes got busy over the weekend and posted three new videos. One is on clearancing side seals, another is on installing 6 port inserts and the final one is about defeating the eccentric shaft thermal bypass valve (aka thermal pellet). The Thermal Pellet video is basically the same as the 99¢ download version, except it is edited differently, much lower quality and embedded.

You can see the free videos here: http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com/

The download movie (only one, for now) is here: http://01622c6.netsolstores.com/inde...PROD&ProdID=53

I will be re-editing and posting many of the free videos as high quality download movies in the near future, so stay tuned.

Just watched the pilot bearing one. Great job. I've never seen it done before, but after watching the vid I'm actually looking forward to doing it myself next time. I just hope the factory puller isn't too expensive.

Suggestions for non-engine topics:

- bushing removal and installation.
- installing a CDI (including best possible unit locations)
- replacing rear wheel bearings
- putting a non-RX-7 rear diff (like the Miata one) into the FC's pumpkin.
- PR's way of building/installing a cold air box, and what you use to replace the air duct from the AFM to the TB. Also, where does PR prefer to draw the cold air from? The brake duct below or to cut into the forward bulkhead? (IMHO, headlight cover inlets don't look very good, and I'd rather have a sleeper anyway. )

Grats again on taking up this project.

[edit] Oh, and one thing all the videos definitely need is more lesbians. Stop skimping!
