PFS ecu setup

I am looking at buying a PFS equipped car ecu ,intercooler exhaust, air intake.I know his stuff is kind of old school now, but it was all put together at pfs. My question is is a pfc, greddy intercooler, apex intake, exhaust, that much better of a product then PFS parts? any input on this would be helpful.

I can't speak for the ECU yet. I have one to install and I have the software too. I can say the exhaust is great! I also wish I had the intercooler too. So if you plan on selling let me know, If I have the green I would like it. People say PF was not the best to deal with, I don't know. I think he had an edge on performance parts because he raced them. His parts are expensive, but I believe its quality stuff.

Ditto - the PFS cat-back, I/C, and intake are still top performers. The piggy-back is just fine and works; a PFC or Haltech is much more flexible. Regardless, all of them have to be properly tuned. Best not to waste money replacing stuff that doesn't really need replacing.

The PFS SMIC is a piece of junk... sell it to me for $100

j/k like everyone else said all of the PFS stuff works very well. There has been some argument about the ECU, but there have been many people who are happy with it.

As everybody else stated, the PFS items are generally very good. However, you will have no support for the ECU, so keep that in mind.

Mark57 is right on! Some of us can't afford the newest of the new. Bottom line is it works and there is plenty of info out there on tuning the ECU.

It's just gonna be the manual and a WBO2; you've got to have that.

The PFS piggyback ecu was made by EFI.
They had a newsgroup on Yahoo and the designer of the ecu would answer your
questions on line.
Mostly Mustang and DSG guys but there were a few FD guys on there.

Search EFIPMSlist on Yahoo groups.

Also Steve Cirian's site has a basic fuel/timing set-up for the FD with all the bolt-ons.
