will a B16 bolt up to my trans mission?? (89TII)
im tired of not having enough power to beat my nieghbors stock 92' civic.
after talking with him a bit, he suggested a b16 swap..
can i ditch the TII motor and bolt in a B16??(i wish i had the money for a b18).

But yeah, this post = jaw-dropping.

no joke, then after i do the swap i can save enough money to put a performance cam and heads... etc.
do i have to get an adapter plate made somewhere to fit it?

SELL YOUR RX7...PLEASEEEE! There is something seriously wrong with your TII if it can't beat a stock 92' civic, my stock B18A 90' teg was faster than those and my heavy turbo convertible will kill an integra.

Don't expect a serious response on this. It's bad enough people want to do a V8 swap...
If you're gonna put a boinger in it, at least put in the big 8, not a 4 banger. It might make a civic fly, but your car's a lot heavier, and that b16 will have a shitty power-weight ratio in your 7.
BTW: if you can't beat a stock '92 Civic with your turbo, learn how to drive.

Dude why put a b16?!?!? it only has about 130hp to the crank let a long slow... IF you wanted to go pistons AT LEAST get an inline 6... but if you don't want your 7 i'll take it off your hads for 700$ :P Remember also its the driver... Well B16 would have to go wrong ways we already know that, But ecu and what not will be a big since you gotta rewire a lot of things.

I cant belive you, if you want to put a honda motor in your RX7 forget it and sell your RX7 and buy a honda and put a B16 in that car instead of the RX7. And yes this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard anyone ask. And a TII should beat a Honda Civic unless you have a really crappy motor and dont take care of your car.
